I am passionate about supporting fellow mental health practitioners. My style is warm and encouraging and I encourage exploration of the self as a therapist and the use of integrative practice to foster individual therapeutic style. Emphasis is given to the importance of self-care, to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.

I am committed to my development as a supervisor and EMDR Consultant and engage in ongoing CPD and my own reflective practice. I have experience across a range of community, education and private practice settings working with children, adolescents and adults.

I enjoy supporting therapists with reflective practice, the therapeutic relationship, advanced interpersonal skills, therapeutic processes, and case conceptualisation and formulation.

My areas of clinical speciality are EMDR Therapy, working with children and parents, and trauma-informed practice. Please have a look at my website to get an understanding of my therapeutic style and modalities used.

Clinical psychology supervision ensures therapists deliver high-quality care, including trauma-informed approaches and psychological assessments, fostering a nurturing environment for healing.

Supervision and Consultation is an essential pillar in the therapeutic process, providing vital support for therapists. Engaging in supervision allows therapists to engage in reflective practice, exploring their feelings and thoughts regarding client relationships and challenges faced in sessions. This reflection is instrumental in mitigating the risk of burnout, while also honing clinical skills and encouraging ongoing professional growth.

Group Supervision and Consultation serves as a valuable platform for sharing insights and perspectives with fellow professionals. These exchanges create a collaborative framework that is crucial for building a robust support network, fostering a sense of community among therapists. By discussing diverse experiences, therapists access a wealth of collective knowledge that enhances their practice.

When therapists commit to regular supervision and consultation, they prioritise their mental and emotional well-being. This commitment not only enriches their professional journey but also strengthens their therapeutic relationships with clients. Ultimately, this holistic focus leads to a more effective and compassionate care approach, benefiting everyone involved in the therapeutic journey.

    EMDR Individual Consultation

EMDR consultation is a vital component of the EMDR learning journey. If EMDR skills aren’t applied directly post-training, the potential for not integrating learning into practice is high.

Modifications to the Standard EMDR Protocol are often required when utilising EMDR Therapy to treat complex client presentations. I offer consultation to empower EMDR therapists to add new skills into their clinical practice and extend their knowledge to become proficient in EMDR Therapy.

I can support EMDR therapists to complete the clinical supervision requirements for status as an EMDRAA Accredited Practitioner or Consultant.

Individual consultation provides a tailored learning experience and can be counted toward requirements for EMDRAA membership and accreditation.

The investment for standard individual consultation is $220 AUD for a 1-hour session. Sessions can be in person in Joondalup, WA or online via Zoom.

Please see below for details about EMDR training and accreditation and membership with EMDRAA.
